Motherโs Day is two weeks away. Here are a few ideas, most of which, I think, will ship in time. As always, I hope the ideas below serve as inspiration, and, as always, I love hearing your ideas, too, so please share in the comments.
PS: My perennial favorites can be found inย the shop.
PPS: More Ideas:
Cookbooks
Pizza Night. Of course, I would be so honored if you gifted Pizza Night to the pizza-loving mother in your life. Now Serving in Los Angeles has signed copies of bothย Pizza Nightย andย Bread Toast Crumbs, and they ship everywhere including internationally. You could pair Pizza Night with โฆ

โฆ a set of 4 dough storage containers.

Carbivore by Phoebe Lapine. This is the book that has the buckwheat crepe recipe I have been eager to share with you and will do so soon. This would be perfect for the carb-loving gluten-free mother in your life, though any carb lover would love it โ itโs loaded with great information about how to make a carb-inclusive diet part of a healthy lifestyle.

Around Our Table by Sara Forte. In Saraโs latest, she shares the everyday recipes she relies on to feed her family. Iโm very excited about the Cauliflower Al Pastor Bowls, Shrimp & Pineapple Sheet Pan Tacos, and the โฆ French Bread Pizzas ๐๐๐๐, the description of which brought me back to weekends at my dadโs house as a kid, where we often ate Stoufferโs French Bread Pizzas for dinner.

Koreaworld by Deuki Hong & Matt Rodbard, the bestselling authors of Koreatown, is so beautifully photographed and so inviting. Inย Koreatown, Deuki and Matt explored the foods of Korean American communities across the United States; inย Koreaworld, they explore the cuisine on an international level, from the ancient plant-based cooking of Buddhist monk-chefs to egg-and-cheese street toasts.

At My Italian Table by Laura Vitale. I so enjoyed reading the introduction to Lauraโs latest book, in which she shares the touching story of leaving Italy as a young girl and finding herself missing her grandmotherโs recipes, many of which are in the book. For the Italian-food loving mama in your life, this one will be a serious hit. I have my eye on the โAn Italian Sundayโ chapter which includes recipes for Zucchini Parmigiana, Potato Gnocchi, and Roasted Chicken and Potatoes with Herby Lemon Salsa โ everything looks fantastic!

Italian Snacking by Anna Frances Gass. For the Italian-food loving mama in your life who loves entertaining and appetizers, this one would be perfect. Thereโs a section that includes pizza-ish creations made with puff pastry that look fun, portable, easy, and deliciousโฆ hoping to make and report back soon!

Indian Flavor Every Day by Maya Kaimal. This one came highly recommended by Haley Whalen, the owner of Arthurโs Market in Schenectady, and Iโm so looking forward to learning from it. I LOVE Indian food but when I think about recreating my favorite restaurant dishes at home, I feel intimidated. These recipes seem approachable, and Iโm looking so forward to making the potato burgers, which Haley raved about.

Food + Drink

Nine Cakes Jams. A friend of mine sent me the above set of jams, and theyโre so lovely. You could pair the set with this Opinel spreader and a loaf of peasant bread.

Fishwife Tinned Fish. Not only beautiful branding โ this stuff is so delicious. I particularly love the Smoked Salmon with Chili Crisp and the Smoked Rainbow Trout.

CVT Soft Serve: Soft serveโฆ in the freezer aisle! Local Friends, I learned about this via The Broken Inn IGโs account, and you can find it at the Niskayuna Coop ๐ Far Away Friends, use this Store Locator.

Crispino Sun-Dried Tomatoes. Ever since seeing this Elizabeth Mincilli Reel on pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and whipped ricotta, Iโve been dreaming about making it. I have yet to โ stay tuned! โ but I did find a jar of really tasty sun-dried tomatoes at Arthurโs Market in Schenectady.

Ghia. I love these non-alcoholic apertifs, which I also find at Arthurโs.

The lime and salt flavor is a favorite, and it makes a nice mock margarita.

I love Nebbiolo, and I particularly love this bottle, which I find at Nisky Wines.

For the cheese lover in your life, a nice wheel of cheese, which you could pair with homemade crackers (like these or these).

Other
Made In Serving Bowl. Love this serving bowl for all sorts of things from salads to pasta.

Turkish Dish Towel. A pair of these towels on their own would make a nice gift but you can also use one to line a small gift basket with a loaf of homemade bread and a block of good butter or jar of jam.

Thyme and Sage cloth napkins. These are bright, cheerful, and springy.

A 7-inch Molcajete or anything else from Masienda.

Made In Univeral Lid โ I learned about this from Lukas Volger, and itโs so handy.

Here it is over a small 8-inch skilletโฆ

โฆ and here it is over a larger 10-inch skillet.

Schoolhouse x Pendleton Blanket โ a beautiful splurge.

Clothing
These pants are so comfortable.

Wouldnโt be an AK gift guide without an overpriced (but perfect?) sweatshirt.

I have this sweater in two colors and love it.

So very sorry to hear of your dadโs passing. When we were losing my father, my siblings and I too, all gathered to be together. While it was a difficult time, it was a wonderful time, I will never forget. I hold those beautiful memories spent with my adult siblings close to my heart. Thank you for your beautiful book. Your introduction was a beautiful story!
Thank you Sandra. I truly am so grateful to have had that week with my siblings. While it was terribly sad, we had so much fun together. Thank you for your kind words about the book, too. Means so much.
Oh, Ali, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I send you my most heartfeltย
sympathy.
I lost my father twelve years ago. It was a difficult time because we were so close. It was about that time that Iย discovered your blog. It helped to lift me up. It wasnโt just the recipes but the way you talkedย so lovingly about your family. Your stories are beautifully written.
I hope you will be comforted by the love of family and friends and all who care about you.ย
Awww Trish, thank you for all of this. It has been so sad, of course, but also a relief in so many ways. Iโm sorry to hear about your father but glad the recipes somehow provided comfort. Thank you always for your kindness๐๐๐
